Medical services in West Maui

UPDATE:
 April 29, 2024

NEW! It has been nearly nine months since the devastating fires that destroyed Lahaina, claiming a reported 101 lives, and leveling our Kaiser Permanente Lahaina Clinic.

In the initial days, Kaiser Permanente provided medical first aid at the local shelter sites. We quickly brought two mobile health vehicles to Lahaina to add clinical space for additional medical care, serving the community at several West Maui sites.

Our Lahaina Clinic physicians, providers, nurses, and staff worked out of mobile health vehicles, hotel ballrooms, and tents for many months. Over that time, they’ve had more than 5,000 patient visits.

With several community medical clinics now re-established in the Lahaina area, Kaiser Permanente has closed its mobile community clinic and relocated operations to our new Lahaina Clinic, approximately one mile away from the former mobile site at the Royal Lahaina Resort.

Kaiser Permanente would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the Royal Lahaina Resort for hosting its mobile clinic for nearly 6 months – and for everything hotel leadership and staff have done to support Lahaina residents impacted by the fires. We also want to thank the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort for partnering with us to bring up our new Lahaina Clinic so quickly.

Kaiser Permanente members now can receive care at our new Lahaina Clinic at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort grounds (across from Roy’s Kaanapali). The address of the modular Lahaina Clinic is 2301 Kaanapali Parkway, Lahaina 96761. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. View a map of the modular Lahaina Clinic here.

Kaiser Permanente members can schedule an appointment at the Lahaina Clinic via kp.org, the KP mobile app, or by calling 1-833-833-3333 (TTY: 711).

The new Lahaina Clinic will be a home for Kaiser Permanente in West Maui, providing more clinical space for members and care teams, while a permanent site in West Maui is identified and secured. In addition, one of the mobile health vehicles relocated to the Lahaina Clinic site, providing additional clinical space. Kaiser Permanente members now can receive primary care and same-day care, ob-gyn, pediatrics, lab services, and optometry services. The in-house pharmacy is scheduled to open in early summer.

Kaiser Permanente has contracted with three area pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS/Longs, and Times) until the Lahaina Clinic in-house pharmacy opens. Courier service for next business day prescription delivery to the clinic is available. Members can also continue to get prescriptions or refills at other Kaiser Permanente pharmacy locations.

Like all Kaiser Permanente clinics, the Lahaina Clinic will serve members with Kaiser Permanente health plan coverage. Patients who do not have Kaiser Permanente health plan coverage are encouraged to seek care at other locations. Non-Kaiser Permanente members: Please visit a community provider for your care. View the West Maui community provider flyer.
